Custom insulin pump pouches
if you have a special need, we can create a solution just for you
Some needs and solutions are simple, some more complex. Whatever they are, we're
happy to help make wearing your insulin pump easier. Give us a call or send an email
with the details of your situation and we'll come up with some ideas. Please take a
look below at the customized pouches we're created for some of our customers.
This All-In-One Pouch was created for a
pilot. Since he tests frequently while
flying, he can only use one hand to get
to his pump and supplies. This requires
keeping his lancet and strips handy,
but secure and in place. The elastic
strap with a Velcro tab also helps to
keep the pump from escaping. We
tweaked this design making minor
adjustments and additions, but it didn't
take too long to perfect this pouch for
our customer and I am pleased to say
that he is a very happy customer.
This pouch was a fairly simple solution for a 10 year
old girl who wanted everything to stay in it's place in
her All-In-One insulin pump case. We added an
elastic loop on the bottom of the pouch, so that
keeps the lancet in place. On each side of the pouch
we added an elastic loop to keep the vial of strips;
this allows the wearer to shift the vial depending on
which direction she wants to face her pump. The
pump slips right in with the unoccupied elastic loop
tucked behind. Our 10 year old customer and her
mom were both very pleased with the result.
A small strip of elastic with a patch of Velcro
brought peace of mind to a young pumper's mom.
This little strap will insure that the pump doesn't
jump out if he opens his pouch with one hand.
Where do you keep your pump when you are wearing ER scrubs?
No pockets, no belt loops and an elastic waist band don't make it
easy. Our customer had been using a leg band, but with a recent
switch to a Cozmo with Cozmonitor, he now wanted to be able to
get to his pump easily and frequently. We thought of the Carabiner
as a good possibility, but it needed to be at a 90 degree angle, so
we added two small button holes to the strap. Now he can wear it
with his scrubs or make a quick switch and hang it from a belt loop.
Another special request for an All-In-One case.
We had a big fan of the Cheetah Girls who
wanted an insulin pump pouch in a fabric they
would love. A quick trip out to the fabric stores
and we found just what we needed to create
her a "one-of-a-kind" insulin pump accessory.
